LDPE tubing, or polyethylene tubing or PE-40, is a type of plastic hose very suitable for sprinkling your garden, waste water drainage, horticulture, and swimming pool heating. The abbreviation LPDE stands for Low-Density Polyethylene, indicating that these hoses have a soft texture, making them easy to bend. In addition to its flexibility, this material is tough, water-repellent, insulating, and durable. This makes the use of LPDE tubing ideal for a variety of applications. Two types of polyethylene tubing are available: approved (KIWA) and unapproved polyethylene tubing. The approved variety is generally suitable for transporting drinking water, while the unapproved is not. At TimaFlex, we offer unapproved 16 mm polyethylene tubing. Thus, these are not suitable for drinking water. However, this polyethylene tubing is suitable as an agricultural application for drinking water.
